The History
Shoehorned between buildings on the London School of Economics' doorstep, Ye Old White Horse looks massively out of place with its olde worlde black-painted frontage, floral displays and fancy gold lettering. Established circa 1800 in the heart of Clare Market — Dickens' own London — this pub may well have served the great novelist himself.
Step inside and you will find original etched glass windows, a painted ceiling, and walls adorned with works by artist @charltonartist — Holborn's very own "Painter of Pints". Guest ales rotate regularly, with recent pours from Salt Beer Factory alongside classic draughts. A genuine hidden gem, tucked away from the tourist trail.
