Montrose · Houston, TX · Latin American Coffee House
Coffee rooted in Latin American tradition, served in the heart of Houston's Montrose. Café de olla. Empanadas. A place you'll keep coming back to.
The Story
Campesino Coffee was founded on the belief that great coffee should bring people together. Owner Geronimo Villalobos drew on his El Salvadorian heritage to create a space where craft coffee meets Latin American culinary tradition — the café de olla brewed in earthenware, the empanadas made fresh, the tamales wrapped with care.
Set in a converted house on Waugh Drive, the space has the warmth of a living room and the energy of a neighborhood gathering place. Fireplace in winter, patio in summer, always good coffee.

"I don't want to give this place a good review so that it doesn't get overcrowded with people, but it is SO amazing and the people that work there are so great that I had to."
